Invite Friends

To invite friends to your server, you need to share your server’s public address.

  1. Open the SquidServers App.
  2. Select your desired server.
  3. Start your server.

In the top right corner of the server dashboard, you can find the Public Address of your server. It will be a tun.ply.gg domain (for example, example.gl.tun.ply.gg).

Finding the public address

  • Copy the address: Click the address in the app to copy it.
  • Share with friends: Send this link to your friends via Discord or other messaging platforms.
  • Join in Minecraft: Your friends must go to Multiplayer > Add Server and paste that address into the “Server Address” box.

To ensure a smooth connection, make sure everyone follows these rules:

  • Matching versions: Everyone must be using the exact same version of Minecraft as your server.
  • Mod consistency: If you are running a modded server, your friends must have the same modloader (Forge, Fabric, NeoForge) and the same modpack or list of mods installed.
  • Do not use localhost or LAN IP: While you (the host) might be able to join using localhost or your LAN IP, your friends must use the public address provided in the app.
  • Server status: Your server must be up and running for your friends to join.
