Use this help center first, then Discord if you still need a person.
Official channels

Discord is the official place for human support and for reporting issues.
Not support channels
Section titled “Not support channels”- GitHub is not used for SquidServers support or bug reports.
- Playit.gg support is for Playit tunnel/account issues, not for the SquidServers app itself.
- Mojang/Microsoft support cannot help with SquidServers.
Before you ask
Section titled “Before you ask”Confirm the product model so answers stay accurate:
- SquidServers is a desktop app. You are self-hosting on your PC.
- It is not managed 24/7 hosting. The server goes offline when the PC or app stops. See Is SquidServers a 24/7 hosting service?.
- Friends do not install the app. See Do my friends need to install SquidServers?.
Then check:
- Server Not Reachable
- Unknown host
- Timeout errors
- java.net.SocketException
- getsockopt
- Failed to verify username
- Playit status if the public address suddenly fails for everyone
What to include
Section titled “What to include”When you post in Discord, include:
- OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) and app version
- Minecraft version, loader (vanilla, Paper, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge, etc.), and whether the server is modded
- The exact error text from Minecraft or from SquidServers
- Whether LAN join works on the host PC
- Whether the public
tun.ply.ggaddress fails only for some players
Do not paste passwords, Microsoft account tokens, or full crash dumps with personal paths if you can avoid it.
