Disable Online Mode

Disabling Online Mode allows players who are not logged into an official Mojang/Microsoft account to join your server. This is sometimes referred to as “cracked” or “offline mode.”

Caution

SquidServers strongly discourages the use of “free” or cracked Minecraft launchers such as TLauncher, SKLauncher, or similar. These files frequently contain malicious software, are not officially supported by Mojang, and our support team cannot assist with issues arising from their installation or usage. Please use the official Minecraft launcher to ensure your account security and proper compatibility.

How to disable Online Mode

1. Open the SquidServers App.
2. Select the server you wish to modify.
3. Open the Settings tab.
4. Scroll down to the Security section.
5. Find the Online Mode toggle and uncheck Enabled.
6. A warning prompt will appear. Click I understand, Continue.
7. Restart the server for the changes to take effect.

Caution

Disabling Online Mode removes the official identity verification for players. Anyone can join using any username they choose. If an attacker knows the username of an Admin or Operator (OP), they can log in as them and gain full control over your server. We strongly recommend installing an authentication plugin (like AuthMeReloaded) so players must use a password to log in once they join.
