Install Datapacks

Datapacks allow you to customize Minecraft gameplay mechanics, add custom recipes, loot tables, advancements, or world generation features without installing client mods.

Installation Steps

1. Download your desired datapack file (a .zip file or a folder containing pack.mcmeta).
2. Stop your server from the SquidServers panel.
3. Open the Server Files tab.
4. Open the world folder (or the folder matching your level-name in server.properties).
5. Open the datapacks subfolder inside world.
6. Drag and drop your downloaded datapack .zip or folder into world/datapacks/.
7. Start your server.

Verifying Datapacks

Once the server has loaded, verify that the datapack is active:

• Type /datapack list in the console or in-game as an Operator (OP).
• Active datapacks will appear in green text.

Note

On multi-dimensional servers (Paper / Spigot), some dimension-specific datapacks may need to be placed in world_nether/datapacks or world_the_end/datapacks.
